On 18th December 2025, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers gathered for an inspiring end-of-year event hosted by the All-Ireland Business Foundation (AIBF). While well-intentioned, I've always felt that the term carries an unnecessary weight one that suggests a favour is being granted, or that the request itself is somehow extraordinary.
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) came into force in Ireland on June 28th, 2025. This landmark legislation is designed to ensure that people with disabilities — including neurodivergent individuals — can access products, services, and workplaces on an equal basis. For employers, this isn’t just about compliance. It’s about recognising the diversity within your workforce and creating environments where everyone can thrive.
